Porter County Aging and Community Services - PCACS
NonprofitPCACS' offers door-to-door demand-response transportation service for the disabled and/or elderly residents of Porter County. Drivers can help the elderly and those with disabilities get on the bus, carry groceries to their door and handle wheel chairs and car seats when needed. We have added more ways to schedule a ride! Through RideCo, an online scheduling service, we are now able to monitor routes in real-time. This means that we can transport even more riders where they need to go, and same-day appointments may be made if slots are available. All riders need to be registered with PCACS. Current riders are already registered. New riders can call our Transportation Department. SERVICE HOURS Monday, Wednesday, Friday: First Pickup at 6:30 am and Last Dropoff at 5 pm Tuesday & Thursday: First Pickup at 7:30 am and Last Dropoff at 4 pm TO SCHEDULE A RIDE 24-hour access to online scheduling system via this link. GovernmentECT provides Complementary Paratransit for individuals with disabilities who are unable to use or get to ECT fixed routes. If assistance in filling out an application is needed, you can contact our office for assistance. Alternate formats are available upon request. If denied certification, you may request an appeal by completing the Appeal Form (DOC). This service is a curb to curb, shared ride service. Mail the signed, completed application to ECT. You will receive an answer within 21 business days of ECT’s receipt of the application. Scheduling is done on a first-come first- served basis for paratransit certified individuals. Priority is given to medical transportation, but volunteers also provide transportation for business, shopping, recreation and other events.
